I have made Jim Lahey's no knead bread a few times. Today I made it for a friend that was visiting us after being in Asia for a few years. I ended up cooking chicken pot pie, some grilled zuchinni and the bread.
I have the photo to prove it! What is cool about the bread-making today, is that I started the process last night, and while reading Cathy Erway's book, ended up reading about her experience with the same recipe. I know it's a popular recipe, but it was just one of those coincidence things I thought was neat.
I should definitely make this bread more often. It's easy, tastes yummy, and is open to a lot of modification and variety. Next-time, with more cranberries and raisins!!
